How to use the compress pdf

  1. Open this page. The PDF compressor opens with the Light level already selected.
  2. Add your PDF. Drop or select the PDF you want to compress. A new file replaces the current one.
  3. Check the level. Light is 150 DPI — the least compression, so pages stay closest to the original.
  4. Compress the PDF. Tap Compress PDF and wait — every page is re-saved as an image on your device.
  5. Download the result. Save the smaller PDF. If it is already small, the original is kept.

Frequently asked questions

Can I get a PDF under 1 MB?

Often, but not always. The Light level shrinks the pages; check the new size shown. Long or image-heavy PDFs may stay above 1 MB, in which case split the file or remove pages.

What happens if the PDF doesn't get smaller?

If compression cannot reduce the file, the original is kept. Try a stronger level, or split the PDF into parts.

Do my files leave my device?

No. The PDF is processed in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
